50% Less Cars, More Cycling & Public Transportation – How the Nørrebrogade Project Leads the Way in Copenhagen

It’s in 2012 that City of Copenhagen started revitalizing Nørrebrogade, a major transportation corridor which connects the Center of Copenhagen to its suburbs. Currently reaching completion, this project is a reference for city planners who wish to increase cycling and public transportation in an arterial road in order to lower environmental impact and make the urban space more attractive.
This case study was published by ICLEI within the Urban-LEDS project funded by the European Commission.
